Mary R. Johnston
Mary Ruth Johnston, 91, formerly of Inman, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 24, 2023 at her home.
Born May 15, 1932 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Dillard Crowe and Beulah Dill Crowe
Surviving are her children, Phyllis Bryant (James) of Mayo, Bobby Johnston of Mayo, a number of siblings and half siblings; grandchildren, John Parton, Joey Parton, Rocky Johnston, Kristy Johnston Gutierrez, Susie Johnston Scruggs as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her spouses, Elford Fowler, William H. “Bill” Johnston; daughter, Diane Campbell; sister, Katherine Cox; brother, Roger Crowe and a great-granddaughter, Khloe Grace Parton.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, Friday, July 28, 2023 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Cryptside services will follow at 12:15 p.m. in Springhill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will be at 609 Cooley Springs School Road following the service.
