Wesley D. Lawter
Wesley Dale Lawter, 67, husband of Roselie “Rosie” Taylor Lawter, went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 9, 2025 at his home.
Born July 31, 1957 in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Theodore Roosevelt “T.R.” Lawter and Mary Pauline Scruggs Lawter. He was a store manager for Dollar Tree and a member of Casey Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter, Logan Lawter; sons, Winston Lawter and wife Abby, Noel Lawter and wife Allison, Mark Lawter and wife Leslie, Nick Lawter; sister Judy Gregg and two grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Marshall Wayne Lawter.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev. Todd Lyda officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or to the American Cancer Society, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605.
Family members are at the home.
