Mary Vagnone

Vagnone, Mary T. (nee) Ghelfi age 82 a longtime resident of Tenafly and formerly of New York City entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 6, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Louis A. Vagnone. Devoted mother of Charles Vagnone and his wife Tara. Loving grandmother of Tyler and Darren.
Mary was a dedicated teacher in New York City, retiring after 37 years. She was a strong supporter of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish as well as the Tenafly Police and Fire Departments. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, and volunteering. While she loved attending Broadway shows and relaxing with her friends at the swim club, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandsons, Tyler and Darren.
Family and friends are invited to visit Monday 4-8PM at Barrett Leber Funeral Home, 148 Dean Drive, Tenafly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30AM at St. Therese RC Church, Cresskill. Interment to follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
