Matthew Dziekowski Obituary

He was born in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Matthew Dziekowski and Caroline (Cugan) Dziekowski on February 8th, 1924 and was known for his unwavering love for his family, infectious laughter and kind spirit that touched everyone he met.
Matthew is also predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothy Dziekowski; his brothers Edward Dziekowski, and Stanley Dziekowski; children Stephen Dziekowski, Jane Sabelli and Son-in-law Frank Sabelli, Robert P. McGuire, Kathleen McGuire, and a Son-in-law James Musillo.
He leaves behind his loving children Patricia Musillo of Red Bank, Nancy Stroud of Glen Ridge, John J. McGuire and his wife Maureen McGuire of Toms River, David McGuire of Toms River and a daughter-in-law Carol Dziekowski of Pennsylvania and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Matthew proudly served his Country in the United States Navy during World War 2, served in the United States Coast Guard and worked for many years thereafter in the Railroad Industry in Pennsylvania.
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Matthew on Monday February 3, 2025 from 9AM to 11AM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
At that time a Funeral Service will be offered for Matthew at 10:30AM at the funeral home.
Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery and Mausoleum of Keyport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org/donate or by mail at PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
