Michael Douglas Kyle Obituary

Michael, of Oklahoma City, was a scientist and a teacher, earning his degree in Microbiology at Oklahoma University. Kyle also lived in Austin, Texas, and in Denver, Colorado. He was a lifelong learner who was as knowledgeable in English literature, art, music, poetry, and history as he was in natural sciences, and was known for his intelligence and wit. Michael was very religious and often asked for prayers.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Glenn Douglas Kyle and Doris Yvonne Mayes Kyle and a Sister Victoria Lynn Kyle.
He leaves many extended family in Oklahoma City
Kyle was especially close to his cousins, Anita Walker, of Oklahoma City, and James Douglas Chew, of Des Moines, Iowa.
These were touching words from his cousin Doug Chew.
"Mike Kyle was my cousin. He was also my friend. His passing is a great loss to all who knew him. I was fortunate to know Mike well, says Doug Chew. "Mike lived his life as a student, teacher, and a researcher in his field of Microbiology. But I knew him best as a person who sought answers
to life's perplexing problems. We shared many conversations about literature, economics, politics, and how to make a better world. Mike's last
words to me were, 'I will see you again.' When that time comes, we will have much to talk about."

I became friends with Mike through my husband, Doug, who was Mike's cousin. We shared conversations about politics, music and cooking, and I became very fond of him. Doug and I loved him and appreciated him for the exceptional person he was.
