Mr. Michael D. Poindexter

Michael Dwayne Poindexter passed away on February 23, 2025, he was born in Rosedale, Kansas on October 7, 1952, to the loving home of Sylvia L. Tucker and Arthur L. Tucker.
Michael attended Rosedale High School in Rosedale, Kansas now Kansas City, Kansas. After high school, Michael joined United States Army. He was always a hard worker from a very early age he worked at several restaurants on the Country Club Plaza, starting at the bottom and working his way up to Cook. He was instrumental in helping dozens of other young men in getting their first job opportunities. Michael's last job was with the Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. as a Chef.
Michael was introduced to church at an early age, Greater Holy Temple under the Rev. Rucker, 1963. He served in the youth choir, and the Usher Board. Michael was blessed, a PERFECT FIT when he joined Friendship Baptist Church. He was devoted to his brothers and sisters at Friendship Baptist Church and worked tirelessly and became the best version of himself.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia L. Tucker, 1963; his stepfather, Arthur L. Tucker, 1990; his brothers, Kevin Tucker; Gregory Tucker; Edger Tucker; and his sister, Revita Tucker. He is survived by his brothers, Arthur Tucker; and Larry Tucker; sister, Vickie Tucker; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church 3530 Chelsea Drive KCMO 64128. Private Disposition. Visitation from 10-11:00 a.m. at the Church.
