An angel touched Felecia Joyce Haynes and called her home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2025, at her home in Houston, TX. Felecia was born on February 8, 1969, in
Kansas City, MO, to John Haynes Jr. and the late Rozena Haynes.
She professed in Christ at an early age at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. Felecia graduated from Van Horn High School in 1987. Following in her mother's footsteps, she earned her Medical Assistant certification, but later realized her true passions lay within the beauty industry. She attended cosmetology school, where her passion for beauty and creativity flourished. She went on to become the proud owner of True Elegance Beauty Salon, where her exceptional skill and artistry earned her runner-up in a statewide hair competition. Her love for beauty did not stop there, Felecia was a self-proclaimed makeup artist who found joy in helping others feel confident and radiant. She also shared her gifts as a beauty advisor at Dillard's, where she inspired women daily with her warm spirit and kind encouragement.
With an empathetic and compassionate heart, Felecia opened her home to foster children in need, offering them a safe haven filled with love, laughter, and understanding.
Above all, Felecia's greatest joy in life came from being a devoted mother to her two beautiful daughters, Briana Okuh and Tiana Crenshaw, whom she loved dearly and spoke of with endless pride. She also adored her grandson, Ephraim Okuh, and her grand dog, Bear Crenshaw, who both brought her endless joy and laughter.
With excitement and optimism, Felecia later moved to Houston, TX, to be closer to her daughter Briana and to begin a new journey as a Reservation Specialist for United Airlines. The last few years of her life were filled with new adventures, good times, and cherished memories with family and friends.
Felecia had many passions and hobbies that reflected her vibrant personality. She loved shopping of all sorts-from furniture and décor to clothes, jewelry, and fragrances. She enjoyed cooking for her family, interior design, traveling with loved ones, and indulging in all thing's beauty and self-care. She could always spot a great deal, earning her the proud title of a "super saver."
She was greeted in Heaven by her beloved mother, Rozena Haynes, and her grandparents.
Felecia leaves her cherished memories and her kind spirit to her loving family: her father, John Haynes Jr.; her daughters, Briana Okuh (Chimaobi); and Tiana Crenshaw; her sisters, Jacqueline Cobbins (Earl Sr.); and Lasha Haynes; her aunt, Thelma Lee Spates (Thomas); her nieces, Brittany Cobbins, Mariah Barnes, Kayla Jones, and Kyra Fletcher; her nephew, Earl Cobbins-Diaz Jr. (David); and her best friends, Malissa Green, and Lorrie Green.
