It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude that we announce the passing of Norma Ann Hutchins, a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and servant of the Lord. She was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on January 18, 2025, at the age of 81.
Norma was born on January 20, 1943, in Easton, Maryland, and was incredibly strong-willed, never swayed by others' opinions, and always stayed true to her beliefs, no matter the circumstances. She was a devoted and loving mother to her children and grandchildren, always putting their needs above her own and nurturing them with unconditional love. As a grandmother, she played a significant role in the lives of her grandchildren, nurturing and guiding them with her boundless love and care, she brought joy, wisdom, and warmth to her family, leaving an indelible legacy of faith, compassion, and strength.
A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Norma was known for her love of the Lord. Her relationship with Jesus Christ was at the center of everything she did. She had a spunky, bold personality that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Norma enjoyed crocheting, completing puzzles, watching TV, reading her Bible, and caring for "Precious" her Yorkie whom she loved for over 9 years. Despite facing many challenges, through life's struggles, Norma was always kind, and compassionate and found ways to uplift others. She never gave up and, through her example, showed others the power of resilience and hope. Her ability to find joy in the smallest moments, even during difficult times, left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a beacon of kindness, a woman who lived with grace, patience, and a heart full of love. Her faithfulness to God, her family, and her friends will never be forgotten.
Norma is survived by; her children, Rick Lewis, Connie Moore, and Shirley "Hope" Lituski (Richard Lituski); siblings, Luanne Whitby and Roy Whitby; and her beloved grandchildren, Jessica Messick, Tosha Esham, Sherrena Esham, Saprina Esham, Raven Esham, Ashley Squires, Leah Lewis, Bethaney Hudson, Sarah Lewis, and Daniel Lewis. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Norma was preceded in death by her siblings, Art Wooters, Joseph Wooters, Vera Wooters, and Mary Wooters; and her parents, Thelma Wooters and Joseph Norman Wooters.
Norma will be missed more than words can express, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
