Patricia (nee Mulhall) Dignam, 87, of Harwood Heights; Born in Kildare, Ireland passed away on June 12, 2024 comforted by her family. Dear daughter of the late James and Kathleen Mulhall; sister of Catherine "Reenie", James "Jimmy," Michael, Veronica "Vivian", Kevin, Olive, Raymond, Richard, Monica, Leo, and the late Moira, William "Willy", Bridget "Bridie", Christopher "Arnold"; Beloved wife of the late Christopher "Danny" Dignam; loving mother of Charles, James, Christopher, Colleen and the late Mary; Proud grandmother of Norah, Erin, and Kevin and great grandmother of Scarlet. Patricia emigrated to the United States from Ireland in 1957 along with her siblings Reenie, Jimmy, Michael, and Vivian after being sponsored by her aunt Bridie in Chicago. Patricia was a fixture in Chicago's Lake View Irish-American community, where she regularly volunteered and participated in efforts to support the Saint Andrew Parish church and school. Patricia later moved to the Harwood Heights community and was an avid reader who also loved to crochet and paint. She also adored her ten-year-old Yorkie Terrier "Rocky," who now resides with her granddaughters Norah and Erin. Most important to Patricia was passing time with her grandchildren and children, who she loved unconditionally. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Patricia's name to St. Jude's at stjude.org. Visitation Wednesday from 10 a.m. to the time of Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Monica Church, 5136 N. I will always remember Colleen wheeling Pat around our condominium and down the street. Pat would always tell me how sweet my dog, Rosie, was. She and Colleen always had a smile for Rosie and me. I will miss seeing them both when I go for walks now.
