Patricia Marie Hayes, a longtime resident of White Plains, NY, passed away on July 13, 2024, at the age of 65. She was born on August 8, 1958, in New York City to the late Janet and Ernest Hayes.
Patricia graduated with a bachelor's degree from Skidmore College where she studied art history and pursued her passion for textile and design by earning a master's degree from North Carolina State University.
Throughout her career, Patricia served as an Administrative Assistant at various churches, including Trinity United Methodist Church in White Plains, NY, St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Hartsdale, NY, and most recently, The Riverside Church in Manhattan as the Education Ministry Administrative Assistant for Youth and Adults.
She was known for her love of literature and her talents in sewing, knitting, crocheting, needlework, and painting where her creativity and designs brought joy to those around her.
She is survived by her sisters Pamela Edwards (twin) and her husband Oliver of Oviedo, Florida, and Susan Hayes Mamadjanian and her husband Peter of White Plains. She also leaves behind her nieces Jasmine Jones, Rebekah Edwards, Misha Edwards, and Katharine Dubin (Jason). Her aunt, Paula Sutherland, and cousins Lesley Peace Fields (Greg), Morgan Fields.
Patricia will be fondly remembered for her kind spirit, her dedication to her craft, and her unwavering love for her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Patricia's memory to Camp Olmsted. Please send your contributions to 114 Bayview Avenue, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY 12520, attention: Jesus Ramos.
