Peggy June (Ellis) Cobb was born on July 4, 1933 in Dill City, OK to James Bascomb and Lula Bess (Elliott) Ellis. She graduated from Beggs High School in the early 1950's. She married Glen Dale Cobb on July 2, 1953 in Tulsa, OK. To this union were born three children; Timothy, James and Glenda. During the 1960's Peggy worked at the Caddo County Election Board. She was a proud member of the Daughters Of The American Revolution and was featured on OETA with her story on the One Room School House. Even though she was a 4th of July firecracker baby she only slightly tolerated fireworks. She was a member of the Verden First Baptist Church where she was very active in the church and in the community. She loved to spend time with her family and with her church family playing cards, especially Spite and Malice.
She is survived by:
2 sons: Tim Cobb and wife, Twyla, Piedmont, OK
James Cobb and husband, J.L. Dye, OKC, OK
1 daughter, Glenda Verser and husband, Bryan, Verden, OK
1 sister-in-law: Jean Cobb, Choctaw, OK
Grandchildren: Amber Dickens, McKinney, TX; Heather and Will Jackson, Piedmont, OK; Scott and Melissa Cobb, Yukon, OK; Trevor and Kristy Cobb, Claremore, OK; Codi and Blake Taylor, Anadarko, Christopher and Shelby Verser, Pryor, OK; Casey and Katie Verser, Ninnekah, OK
20 great-grandchldren
1 niece: Sharon Caywood, Choctaw, OK
3 nephews: Billy Gene Nall, Holdenville, OK; Lester Leroy Cobb, Jr., Charlie Cobb, Choctaw, OK
She was preceded in death by:
Her parents, her husband Glen D. Cobb on 9/11/2020; 4 sisters and 2 brothers
Funeral Services: 1:00 P.M., Friday, June 24, 2022
1st Baptist Church, Anadarko, OK
Burial: Verden Cemetery, Verden, OK
