Ramona Parsons Obituary

She grew up in the Scranton, KS area graduating from Santa Fe Trail high School with the class of 1980.
On December 20, 1980 Ramona was united in marriage to Philip Parsons.
Ramona had several jobs over her life, working at Flemings, several nursing homes, running a daycare out of her home, Casey's in Scranton, Scranton Tavern, The Forbes sewing Factory in Burlingame, and finally as a custodian for U.S.D. 434, recently.
Ramona loved camping with her family and just spending the weekends at the lake. She was always at peace and happy in nature. She never missed an opportunity to go play Bingo. Her favorite pastime was tagging along with her beloved husband Phillip. If he had a job to work on or somewhere to be you could be sure Ramona was by his side.
She is survived by her husband, Philip Parsons of the home; son, Dustin Parsons, Scranton, KS; daughter, Ashley Parsons, Topeka, KS; two grandchildren, Emma and Jacob; her mother, Delores Arb; her siblings, DeAnna Starkebaum (Phillip), Scranton, KS, Dawna Samson (Robert), Topeka, KS, Janice Arb, Wichita, KS, Becky Arb, Scranton, KS, Valerie Arb (Jason Bevitt), Topeka, KS and lots of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Ramona was preceded in death by her father, Leo Arb, her grandparents and her father-in-law.
Graveside funeral services will be held, 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Scranton Cemetery, followed by a celebratory luncheon at the Scranton V.F.W. The family will greet friends for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday July 14, 2023 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Burlingame, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Scranton First Responders sent in c/o the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. Box 194, Burlingame, KS 66413.
