Richard Joseph Basile

Richard Joseph Basile, age 59, of Chapin, SC, formerly of Gloucester Township, NJ, passed away on January 3, 2024.
Rich is survived by his wife, Christine Basile (née Hoversen), his sons, David (Rebecca Morgis) Basile and Mark Basile, his rescue dog/best bud, Cooper, and his sister, Donna (Jim) Coakley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other extended family members. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Anthony and Carmella (nee Vattima) Basile, and his brother, Anthony Basile.
Rich was a dedicated and loving family man, and he would do anything to help people, especially his family. As David and Mark were growing up, he was one of their biggest supporters in school and their varied interests, including Scouts and soccer. Rich was both boys' soccer coach for years, and he later encouraged them both to get their soccer referee license. Rich worked with his sons to help them meet their goals, from going to the colleges of their choice, to successfully graduating and getting into their selected careers.
Rich had a successful career in technical sales with different employers, often working with a team of employees in different territories. His passion for working with people drove him to attain his personal goal of owning his own business when he purchased Training Concepts (TC) in Columbia, SC in July 2020. TC is a technical training facility and Rich enjoyed building the business the last three years with a great team of employees. One aspect of the business he truly enjoyed was meeting the students when courses began and learning about their backgrounds. Rich will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and his TC family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rich's visitation on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish – St. Luke Church located at 55 Warwick Rd in Stratford, NJ. Memorial mass to immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Interment is private.
