Early Sunday morning, August 25, 2024, Richard Virgil "Dick" Eason Jr. passed away at his home surrounded by his wife, Kadra, and his son, Cole Eason. Dick was born to the late Richard Virgil Eason Sr. and Martha Ann Eason. There was never a kinder soul than Dick. He was humble, never met a stranger, and loved everyone he ever came in contact with. If he had not seen you in years, he always had a cheerful greeting for you, and always asked, "How are you? And how are you doing?" He would wait for a reply, because he wasn't making small talk, he genuinely wanted to know. Dick always had a love for hot rods and motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons. He had a unique appreciation for this brand and owned and rode several. Concerning the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing to the utmost, and watching Westerns were a pastime, with Gunsmoke being his favorite. Dick is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kadra Vaughn Eason; one son, Cole Eason and his wife, Lacey; two grandchildren, Rowdy and Rook Eason; and one sister, Candy Eason. There will be a memorial service in Dick's honor held on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services, with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m

I remember Dick and my brother James Felder Jr. we're great friends in the early years of their lives. When I told Brother Dick had passed away he cried. He is in nursing home with early onset dementia but he remembers a lot of old memories. We both loved Duck although had not seen him in many, many years but knowing him he will be missed by many. Fly high, Dick. You were loved. Prayers for his family and friends. Twila Gillis McKinney
