Richard Lee Morelock

Richard Lee "Dick" Morelock, Jr., 93 of Spring Grove, passed away, Friday, July 31, 2022 at UPMC Pinnacle Hanover with his wife, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law by his side.
Richard was the loving husband of Mary I. (Wetzel) Morelock; together they shared 71 years of marriage. He was the son of the late Richard L. Morelock, Sr. and Catherin (Miller) Morelock.
Dick served in the United States Army and he retired from Johnson Controls in 1980. He was a devoted member of St. Paul Dubs Lutheran Church for many years. Dick loved bowling and was very good at it, his greatest achievement was bowling three 800's series after the age of 80. He was a member of York, Adams Co. Bowling Hall of Fame and a life member of VFW Hanover and Hanover Home Association.
Richard was preceded in death by his son Darrell Scott Morlock who passed August 19, 2019, his sister Viva Morelock and brothers Carl and Harry Morelock.
Richard is survived by, a sister-in-law Betty Lease of Spring Grove; brothers-in-law, Richard Wetzel wife Patricia and Terry Wetzel wife Lisa. He had a lot of friends, one niece and many nephews.
There will be no public viewing. Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate the life of Richard will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022 at St. Paul Dubs Union Church, 1958 Dubs Church Rd, Hanover, PA with Rev. Susan Fritz officiating. The family will receive friends to share memories of Richard from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in St. Paul Dubs Church Cemetery will full military honors provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
