Richard "Dickie" L. Wells
Born 10/14/1946
Passed 4/24/2023
He was born in Malone, New York to Edwin Wells and Winifred McCune (predeceased). He is survived by his older sister Margaret Adams of Woodstock, CT and her husband Paul Adams (deceased) and predeceased by his younger sister Barbara Lamontagne of Dudley, MA and her husband Paul Lamontagne.
He is survived by his two children, who meant the world to him, son Christopher Wells of Dunedin, FL and daughter Melissa Paranto of Webster, MA. He had 5 grandchildren who he loved very much. He also had many nieces and nephews. He didn't get to see them often, residing in Florida but, knew all about their lives and took so much pride in them every day.
Richard (Dickie) served in the Navy after growing up in Oxford with his family and was very proud to serve his country. He later lived in Webster then to Dudley with his family until moving to Florida. He worked as a heavy machine operator until his retirement and was a member of the Local 4 in Massachusetts.
Dickie enjoyed his local Boston sport teams and had a lot of interests including, golfing, softball, carpentry, hunting, fishing, and working on cars. He was a "jack of all trades".
Dickie enjoyed his life in Florida and made so many close friends through the VFW and Legion. Thank you for being his family here!
He was a guy who would give you the shirt off his back or his last nickel.
His services will be done privately as he requested.
