How does a family begin to pay tribute, it is certainly not easy to express deep grief and convey immeasurable love for a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend to so many.
Ricky Dean Allen, 63, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin where he has lived for the last 43 years.
Rick, don't call him Ricky unless you wanted to make him mad (usually only done by his younger brothers), grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and moved to Wisconsin Rapids in 1980, a few years after his mother and two youngest brothers moved to the area. Rick had many occupations over the years, most memorable are an over the road truck driver, construction worker, owner of a dry wall business and most recently owner of a business building rustic country furniture. If you are the lucky recipient of any of his work, you are well aware he was a perfectionist in everything he did. He always made time to help family and friends alike. He was likeable and had acquired so many friends over the years that it was seldom he would go into a store without someone he knew approaching him in conversation.
When people think of Rick, many things come to mind, his honesty and love for his family were most important. Of all of his many accomplishments in life, Rick was most proud of his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, especially when he was able to ride with his son Colton.
Rick is survived by his three children: Kayla (Luke) Keuffer, Karina (Jeremy) Cross, Colton Allen, their mother Mary (Casper) Allen, six grandchildren: Destiny Keuffer, Faith Keuffer, Hailey Cross, Chelsey Cross, Kristinlee Cross, Caden Cross, three brothers: Todd (Kathy) Allen, Troy (Desiree) Allen, Brian (Elise) Allen, Aunts and Uncles, many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: David Allen, Jean (Tolley) Allen and daughter: Nikki Allen. He will be missed by many and left memories with all who have been lucky enough to have known him.
A Celebration of Ricky's life will be held at a later date more information will be forthcoming.
