On September 17, 1940, Robert Lee Amos was born, in Park City, Barren County, Kentucky, a son to the late George Amos and Katie Woods Amos. Robert Lee grew up and attended school in Park City and joined the Zion Hill Baptist Church. Robert Lee was formerly employed by Monarch Environmental and retired in 2009, from Scott Waste Management. Robert Lee enjoyed wrestling and loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, tending to his cows, working on lawn mowers or cars, but most of all just having a good time laughing and talking with family and friends' underneath that big tree in his front yard. Robert Lee married the woman of his dreams Jasper Louise Wilson Amos, on, December 27, 1961, in Tennessee. Together they raised their children with much love and support. Where you saw one of them you saw the other. Robert Lee was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend that will truly be missed.
As the night air began to settle on the grass, Robert Lee at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 13 days, crossed that chilly Jordan as he joined along with his parents, his daughter, Belinda Sue Amos; siblings, Roy Thomas Amos, John Hampton "Johnson" Amos, Cleora Bunton, and Virginia Wilson: sister in-law, Geneva Amos.
To cherish the loving memory of Robert Lee Amos he leaves his loving and devoted wife of 61 years Jasper Louise Amos; daughter Tammy Amos; sons, Robert D. (Kim) Amos, Adam Amos, William (Jennifer) Amos, and Ricky (Rachel) Amos; 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; siblings, Maudie Veoria Boards, Leroy Henderson Amos, and William Taylor Amos; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives, a man's best friend, Max (his Pomeranian) and many friends.
Sincerely,
-Your friends at Burnam & Son
