The Rockfield native was born July 28, 1941 to the late James Milton and Ina Odell Howell Fields. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Alice Fay Steenbergen Fields. Bill was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his children, Terry Joe Fields of Morgantown, Sandra Pedigo, Debbie Upton, and Billy Joe Fields (Kacey) all of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Jeffery David Fields, Joseph Michael Fields, Blake Fields, Cassie Mosley, Abby Upton, Dylan Upton, Mason Fields, and Hudson Fields; and sister, Janetta Gibbon.
Cremation was chosen with private burial at Beech Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapels has been entrusted with arrangements.
