Shirley Ann Anderson was born, August 26, 1939, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Freddie Beck and Everlena Nichols Beck. She was a graduate of High Street High School and was a member of the State Street Baptist Church.
Shirley dedicated over thirty years to nursing at the Bowling Green-Warren County Hospital and the Medical Center of Bowling Green, exemplifying her commitment to serving others. She valued time spent with her family, particularly attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Her kindness and gentle demeanor will remain a lasting memory for those who knew her. Shirley was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.
On, Friday, October 3, 2025, before the break of day with loved ones nearby, Shirley received her crown in glory at the generous age of 86 years, 1 month and 7 days.
To honor her memory, Shirley leaves behind her children: Rod Anderson, Ria (Steve) Butts, and Tory Banks; grandchildren, Jacquetta (Chris), Jessica, and Rajee; great grandchildren, Zayden, Elijah, Noelle, Coralee, Jeremiah, Jazlyn, and Ty'Lan; sisters, Winifred (Milton) Johnson, and Jacqueline (Glenn) Courtland; brother in-law, Michael Carbins; special cousin, Evantha (David) Milliken; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Shirley was preceded in death along with her parents and sisters, Patricia Beck, and Lizabeth Carbins. Grandparents; Della Brown Nichols and Hoyt Nichols, Pearl Wooten Beck and Alvin Beck. aunt, Lovella Smith and uncle Evans Smith; niece Zina Gaines; nephews, Ralph Beck and Fredrick Beck; niece and nephew, Glenda and Glendon Courtland; great niece, Allison Sims; Cousin Evelyn Smith.
