Robert Wayne Gibbs

Robert Wayne Gibbs, age 83 of White House passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. He was born July 26, 1941 in Bowling Green, KY to Clyde & Virgnia Warren Gibbs. He worked 40+ years as a service manager for John Deere.and had been attending White House First Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He enjoyed working on and restoring old tractors and cars, race car driving, Bingo, playing the slots and spending Christmas with the family. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geraldine Gibbs; 3 brothers, Sammy, Billy and Michael; 4 sisters, Linda, JoAnn, Sue and Faye. He is survived by his son, Robbie (Michelle) Gibbs, Cross Plains, TN; brother, James Warren (Diane) Gibbs, Panama City, FL; 4 grandchildren, Cory (Amanda), Dwayne (Kelsey), Cody Midgett and Chase Midgett; 5 great-grandchildren, Skylar, Logan, Ezra, Wyatt and Shepherd. Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11am in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, with Dr. Ashley Mofield officiating. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with military honors and with Cory Gibbs, Dwayne Gibbs, Bob Roden, Logan Gibbs, Kelt Loudon and Tommy Biggs serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation is planned for Friday, February 14, 2025 4-8PM & Saturday, February 15, 2025 9-11AM at the funeral home.
