Mr. Roger Gary Dawson, 72, of Fayetteville, passed away on April 4, 2022.
Roger loved the open road. He was a truck driver for 44 years. He was a volunteer fire fighter for Gray's Creek Fire Department for over 30 years. He was an outstanding man and was one of the good ones.
Roger is survived by his three children, Robert Dawson of Fort Mitchell, AL, Casey Dawson of Smith Station, AL, and Brandy Gray (a.k.a PUNKIN), of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren, Courtney Nolin of Ft. Mitchell, AL, Heather Dawson and Austen Dawson, both of Wetumpka, AL, and Lacey Dawson, Madison Simmons and Kyle Simmons, all of Phenix City, AL; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny Dawson and Gene Dawson of Fayetteville; and sister, Shelia McNeill of Fayetteville.
The family will gather on Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Gray's Creek Fire Department for "Not Saying Goodbye, Saying Later" celebration for Roger.
