Ruben loved spending quality time with his children and family. He enjoyed watching football.
He is survived by his girlfriend Elizabeth Guerrero of Arcadia, Florida, son Ruben Cervantes Jr, daughter Serenety Cervantes. Brothers Blas (Martha) Cervantes of Arcadia, Florida, Margarito (Anna) Cervantes of Arcadia, Florida, Esteban (Adelita) Cervantes of Mexico, Roberto (Anna) Cervantes of North Port, Florida, Jesus Cervantes of Arcadia, Florida and Nicolas Cervantes Jr of Austin, Texas. Sisters Eduarda Cervantes of Edinburg, Texas, Maria Reyna (Ciro) Cervantes of Zolfo Springs, Florida, Luz Maria Cervantes of Plant City, Florida, and Yesenia Cervantes of Delaware.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home at 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, Florida from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
Service will be Graveside at Joshua Creek on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 12:00pm. Father Remy will be officiating.
