Sally J. Kelly Abbott

Sally J. Kelly Abbott, 86 of Connellsville died Sunday October 3, 2021 in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born December 3, 1934 in Connellsville a daughter of the late Albert and Blanche Bigam Kelly. Sally was a graduate of Connellsville High School. She was a veteran of the US Air Force serving as an Airman 1st Class. She was the former Owner and Operator of the City Sewing Center in Connellsville. She also farmed with her family on the Kelly farm. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Community Church. She is survived by one son, Douglas Abbott and his wife Cindy of Seminole, Fl.; her grandchildren, Michael James Abbott, Jr. and his wife Hilary, Vashti Abbott, Josiah Abbott and Elizabeth Abbott Davis and her husband William ; two great grandchildren, Violet and Olive Abbott and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Donald D. Abbott; a son, Michael J. Abbott, Sr., brothers, Albert, Robert and Jack Kelly and sisters, Dorothy Cramer, Nada Bottomley and Margie Small. Family and Friends will be received in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M, the time of brief Funeral Services with Rev. Rick Fox officiating. Private interment will be in the Scottdale Cemetery.
