Jarecki, Sandra Jean,

of Bensenville, passed away on July 1, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Shirley Mazur and her great-nephew, Everett John Gibb. She is survived by her son, Michael (Margaret) Jarecki, her granddaughter, Lilliana Mae, her sisters, Barbara Laho, Jean (Eric) Gibb, Susan (Richard) Beerup, and her brother, James (Teresa and Kole) Mazur. Sandy was the beloved aunt of Aaron (Angela) Laho, Rebecca (Jason Broeski) Laho, Matthew Gibb, Adam (Erica) Mazur, and Byron (Stephanie) Gibb and most loved great-aunt to Cody Laho, Noah Broeski, Olivia Broeski, Abby Laho, Eric Gibb, and Baby Girl Mazur.

Sandy was born June 4, 1951, to Chester and Shirley Mazur. She grew up in Bensenville and was a graduate of Fenton High School. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school for a number of years. Sandy's first job was at Andresen's Bakery. She spent her early career as a secretary for the vice-president of Clow Corporation. She married Ronald Jarecki in November of 1978 and remained close with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Donna Jarecki (Robin And Holly). Ron and Sandy welcomed their son, Michael in 1984. While raising her son, Sandy worked for many years at Duerkop's and later in food service at Blackhawk Junior High and Bridgeway. Her Bensenville connections were strong and you couldn't go anywhere with Sandy without her running into someone she knew that she would spend a few minutes chatting with.

Sandy had a special knack for unique relationships with people. She was the creator of our nicknames, the teller of silly jokes, the creator of her "special" decorations, grand master of garage sales and collecting of trinkets that were all special to her. She loved vacationing at Long Lake with her family, her special trips with her sisters, lighthouses, dragonflies, seashells, jewelry or baubles of any kind, yellow cake with buttercream frosting, fall colors but most of all, her family. It takes a special person to be a "NeNe", to be one of four aunts but the only one who was simply "Aunt", to laugh each and every time she told the same joke, to find beauty in every trinket, to hold five year olds hearts in her hand with her silly sayings, to raise a strong, loving man who married a beautiful, supportive woman who gave her the most precious gift, her Lilly.

We rejoice that she is reunited with her parents, whom she missed dearly. We will miss you everyday, Mom, NeNe, Sister, Aunt, until we see you again.
