Sherilyn Ann Figge

Sherilyn Ann Figge, 72, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023, at home, surrounded by her loving family. A memorial visitation will be Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 5 – 7:00 p.m., at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.
Sherilyn was born on August 30, 1950, in Oakland, California to Lawrence and Rosalie (Ladd) Kinney. Growing up, her family helped raise baby animals at home until they were old enough to be placed in the regular animal enclosures at the Lee Richardson Zoo in Garden City, Kansas. She married Bob Figge on July 30, 1980. Sherilyn was a kind and loving person. Everyone was welcome in her home to enjoy a home cooked meal. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends. Sherilyn and Bob never missed any of their daughter's and grandson's events when they were growing up. She loved collecting glassware, miniature spoons, and bells. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed genealogy.
Sherilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence, and Rosalie Kinney.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Figge; daughter, Erin Figge; grandson, Andrew Chazarreta; sister, Brenda Kendrick; along with special family friends, Shannon Harris, Jenny Roberts, Tabitha Lares, and Shane Spry.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Compassus Hospice, especially to Becky and Brandy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sherilyn's name to the American Cancer Society.
