Ruby Mae Wegwerth, of Robinson, passed away on October 21, 2025. Funeral Services will be 9:00 a.m. Friday, October 24th at St. John United Church of Christ in Robinson with Pastor Jacob Brenton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, October 23rd from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. John UCC 100 S. Robinson Dr, Robinson, TX.

Ruby was born to Herman and Lena Becker in Perry, Texas. She graduated from Riesel High School. Ruby married her highschool sweetheart, Melvin Paul, in 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riesel. She and Melvin celebrated 67 wonderful years before he passed in 2019. She retired from Word Record Incorporated and was a resident of Robinson for over 70 years. Through the years Ruby enjoyed growing beautiful plants, cooking delicious meals, and most of all camping at the lake. Melvin and Ruby loved traveling with their son Rick Wegwerth of Hallsburg, Texas, and wife Arlene Wegwerth, and son Randy Wegwerth of Sevierville, Tennessee, and wife Imelda Wegwerth. She’s proud of her three granddaughters, Casidy Orand, and husband Ryan Orand, Emory Vogelsang and husband Will Vogelsang, and Summer Wegwerth. Most recently she thrived as a great-grandma to her namesake Lucy Mae Vogelsang, as well as three great grandsons Callen Orand, Jace Paul Orand and Wells Vogelsang. She provided constant love, support and always well stocked snacks for them all. Ruby was a faithful member of St. John UCC in Robinson for over 60 years.

Ruby’s sisters include Betty Joyce, husband Gene Lebkowsky and Yvonne, husband Charles Mott. She was proceeded in death by her sister Mildred Koester and husband Harold (Folly) Koester; and her nephew, Gary Koester. Pallbearers are Dennis Koester, Mike Denton, Bobby Lebkowsky, Brad Phillips, Charlie Wright, Christopher Koester and Phil Mott. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Mulsow , Mike Perry, Ryan Orand, Will Vogelsang, and St. John UCC members.

Organist will be Phil Mott. Memorials may be made to St. John UCC in Robinson or Meals on Wheels Waco.
