Sonya Louise Redditt Dassau

Sonya Louise Redditt Dassau, a resident of Slidell, Louisiana for 20 years, passed away on December 24, 2022 at the age of 47. She was a native of Greene County Mississippi, born on September 2, 1975, to her loving parents, the late Margaret Ellen Adamo and Wayne Redditt. Sonya is the beloved wife of Scott Christian Dassau; cherished mother of Gavin Christian Dassau and Grant Scott Dassau; caring sister of Natasha McCleod and Michelle Moser; and treasured aunt of Madison McCleod, Mary Carol Dassau, Jaxon McCleod, and Jackson Dassau. She is also survived by a host of extended family members and friends.
Sonya was a Registered Respiratory Therapist and loved all of her patients at Slidell Memorial Hospital. She was a member of AARC and was active in her community, serving on the Slidell High PTA, Project Graduation, and the Quarterback Club. Sonya loved being a wife to Scott and a mother to Gavin and Grant. She never missed an opportunity to cheer her sons on at their many sporting events and enjoyed planning trips camping and to the beach. Sonya loved her dogs and LSU tailgating. She will fondly be remembered as a beautiful Christian soul who loved to share her faith with everyone. Sonya lived her life in service of God. She was an amazing neighbor who never met a stranger and was always the person to make sure everyone felt included. Her smile was bright, her laughter contagious, and her spirit kind. Sonya will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
