A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 12, at 3:00 PM at Pinewood Memorial Park. The visitation will be Sunday from 5:00-7:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Jean, daughter of the late George and Annie Heath, was born on August 4, 1941, in Pitt County. She attended Pitt County Schools. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Jean opened her heart to everyone. She spent a number of years caring for those in her family.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Earl Harris, five brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her sons, George Hinson and wife, Terri, of Blounts Creek and Scott Riggs and wife, Cheryl, of Blairsville, Georgia; daughter, Jeanne Whichard of Greenville; step-daughter, Kathy McLawhorn and husband, Jeff, of Greenville; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
