Greenville - Christopher "Chris" M. Jones, 44, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church, with a reception to follow at the church.
Born and raised in Williamston, Chris was the son of Jerry and Nancy Jones. He graduated from Williamston High School in 1998 and went on to earn his degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology from Martin Community College in 2003. He was proud to be part of the Nutrien family, where he worked since 2008.
Chris was a man who found his greatest joy in simple moments - being with his family, cheering on his kids, or spending a quiet day outdoors. He loved hearing his daughter Monica sing, seeing his love of the outdoors and his kind nature reflected in his son Jack, and recognizing his quick wit and sense of humor shining through in his son Saul. Above all else, Chris adored his wife, Amber. They were true soulmates - best friends who shared every joy and every challenge side by side.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Jones.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 16 years, Amber Jones; their children, Monica, Jack, and Saul, all of the home; his mother, Nancy Ellis Jones of Williamston; and many extended family members and friends who loved him deeply.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has surrounded them with love, support, and prayer during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Monica, Jack and Saul's College Fund. Account name: Amber Jones at State Employees Credit Union. (Account Number: 8375036)
