Suzanne (Lynne) Jackson, 66, was born February 22, 1958, in Kansas City,
Missouri to James A Pettit and Corine Pettit. She is preceded in death by her
parents. She is also preceded in death by her brother: Fredrick Pettit and sister
Linda Pettit.
Lynne accepted Christ at an early age at Emmanuel Baptist Church. She attended
Manual High School and was a graduate in the Class of 1976, while at Manual she met
her husband, Lester Jackson and to this union
three children were born. She later attended Avila College while working at
Menorah Medical Hospital. She later found her passion for cooking. Lynne had
started her own small business as a caterer.
Lynne was a great mother, daughter, sister and friend. She especially loved
spending time with his children, grandkids, loved ones, and close friends. She
was a proud member of Evangelistic Center, where she loved to cook as well as
teach others to cook. She departed this life April 6, 2024, at Truman Medical
Center.
Left to cherish Lynne's memories: her children: Lamar C. Jackson, Carmelita
Jackson (Jamal), Camille Hinchee (Jonathan), Ramsey Williams (Shoni);
grandchildren: Kevin Turner, Rykel Lawrence, Ty'Jaron Jackson, Elijah Irons,
Ja'Shaun Jackson, D'Mitri Jackson, Malik Jackson, Christian Porter, Lamar
Jackson Jr., Noelia Jackson, Remar Jackson, Talisha Williams, Tanesha
Williams, Ramsey Williams Jr. great- grandchildren: Ivy Turner, Tavon Jackson,
Peyton Irons. Siblings: Barbara Jones (Herman), James Pettit Jr., Michael Pettit,
Stanley Pettit, Beverly King, Scott Pettit, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024, 11:00am at Evangelistic Center. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 10:00am-11:00am at the church. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
