Tammy Lynn Jaeger, 56, of Crystal Falls, passed away on December 21, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was born June 30, 1967, in Crystal Falls, the daughter of the late Harold and Catherine (Nelson) Gill of Amasa.
Tammy grew up in Amasa where she enjoyed playing with her cousins, friends, and pets. She enjoyed skiing from a young age that grew into adulthood. She attended many Sheriffs conventions with her parents. Tammy graduated from Forest Park high school, Class of 1985 and attended Girls State at Central Michigan University during her senior year.
She married Allen Jaeger on March 6, 1993, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Amasa. Tammy worked as a Matron at the Iron County Jail. She held many positions of managerial status where she excelled and was able to help lead others. She was a union representative at Aramark where she worked for over 10 years, and she was very proud of that title.
Tammy loved camping, attending concerts, gardening, and cooking. She loved Joshua Trees, Flamingos, Birds of Paradise, and Red Toed Tree frogs. She was a fabulous cook who was often found cooking for her family. Tammy doted on her children and grandchildren. She always stuck up for the underdog and would do her best to make sure others never felt alone.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Allen; two daughters, Lindsay Jaeger (Jeremy Alquist) of Crystal Falls and Ronnie Jaeger of Crystal Falls; four grandchildren, Dani, Rory, Revi Alquist, and Gianna Spanos; and four siblings, Candy Soderena, Jimmer (Kathleen) Gill, Joe Gill, and Michael Gill. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be Friday, January 19, 2024, from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Amasa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am at the church with Rev. D. J. Rasner officiating. Burial will be in the Amasa cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.
