John F. "Jack" Jaeger

John F. "Jack" Jaeger, Army Veteran Korean War, longtime resident of Chicago's Clearing community, missed his 96th Birthday by eleven days. He passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 25, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Marjorie Graham. Loving father of Stephen (Sherry) Jaeger, Barbara (James) Barnicle, Susan (David) Rybicki, Daniel Jaeger, MaryEllen (Armando) Hurtado and Janice (Rebecca) Jaeger-Vega. Most beloved grandfather of Allison (Thomas). Loving, Lauren Andrews, Alexander Hurtado, Samantha Andrews, Sam John Jaeger and Andrew Rybicki. Brother of the late Mary Lou (late "Murph") Seivert. Dear uncle to his niece and nephews. Jack was a proud member of the V.F.W. Post #6863, American Legion, Harmony Club of America, and a Gold Circle Member of V.F.W.. Jack loved bowling and golf, in fact he even had a few holes in one! Jack loved nothing more than working, cooking and baking, all of which he was very good at. He loved his children deeply and loved his grandchildren more. He instilled in his children and grandchildren his own qualities of curiosity, fairness, integrity, generosity and adventure. His advice, good humor, warm smile and inspiring presence will be missed but will forever live on in his family. Visitation is Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Two Holy Martyrs Parish, St. Rene Goupil Church from 10 AM until time of mass at 12 noon. We will go in procession from the church to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery where Jack will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife. In lieu of flowers donations in Jack's name to the V.F.W.
