Mr. Tim Smith, 67, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital. He was born in Waynesboro on Friday, February 3, 1956 to Ralph Thomas Smith, Sr. and Clarice Smith. He was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church. He worked as an Operator at Hiwannee Water Association for 40 years. Mr. Tim is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Thomas Smith, Sr.; mother, Clarice Smith; aunt, Louise Stanley. He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Smith, Waynesboro, MS; son, Ralph Thomas "Trey" Smith, III (Jenci), Stringer, MS; two daughters, Courtney Spooner (Hershell), Ponce de Leon, FL, Jenia Mercer (Antonio), Waynesboro, MS; two brothers, Charles "Chuck" Smith, Gautier, MS, Douglas Tyrone "Bobo" Smith, Clara, MS; seven grandchildren, Isaac Thomas Spooner, Ponce de Leon, FL, Klarice Marie "Klaire" Spooner, Ponce de Leon, FL, Nicholas Lee Spooner (Kelsey), Caryville, FL, Alexis Cheyenene "Lexi" Mercer, Waynesboro, MS, Kali Jade Mercer, Waynesboro, MS, Mia Grace Mercer, Waynesboro, MS, Noah Wessyn Spooner, Ponce de Leon, FL; three great grandchildren, Isabella Grace Spooner, Camille Faith Spooner, Allison Hope Spooner. Visitation for Mr. Tim will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. William "Buddy" Jones and Rev. Dixie Holder-Cummings officiating. Interment will be in Hebron Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
