Born in Scranton, he was a son of the late Victor L. and Ann Marie Hill Cognetti. A 1983 graduate of Scranton Technical High School, he worked at Allied Services, Keystone Automation and Ruddy's.
Vic loved riding his motorcycle, fishing and being with friends. He enjoyed sports, especially his beloved Steelers and Phillies. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by two sons, Victor L. Cognetti III and wife, Stacy, and their daughter, Olivia; and Justin Cognetti and wife, Jenna, and their children, Jake and and Taylor; and a brother, Timothy Cognetti.
Friends and family may call Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Neil W. Regan Funeral Home Inc., 1900 Pittston Ave., Scranton, PA 18505. Masks will be required. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen, 500 Penn Ave., Scranton, PA 18503, or at www.stfranciskitchen.org.
