Lucille, Lucy Viola, Mom, Mega passed away peacefully and entered into the arms of her Heavenly Father on December 4, 2024. Lucille was born on September 21, 1930, in Pottsboro, Texas to H. R. Fraley and Ollie Grace Fraley. Lucille married William Jackson on May 15, 1969, and they resided in Garland, Texas until his death in 2017.
Lucy attended Executive Secretarial School in Dallas and had a typing skill of over 100 words per minute. Grammar was one of her high points and it was hard for her to not correct a letter or card if she saw it laying around-it probably had a mark or two on it. She just knew grammar and it was a part of her. Even with her illness she continued to win spelling bees. She was a unique woman.
She worked at Kraft Foods in Garland, Texas for several years after getting out of school. Then got a job at Continental Emsco on Forest Lance. She worked for the same company for 40 years. When she retired, she was Executive Secretary of the Vice President and CEO.
She is preceded in death by her parents, H. R. Fraley and Ollie Grace Fraley, her brothers, Homer Lee Fraley, her husband William Jackson, and her dog Katie. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Joseph D. Giles, III and Rebecca of Rockwall, grandchildren, Nathan and April Giles of Terrall, Brad and Laura Aston of Terrell, Brent and Sharon Aston of Dallas, Brandi Keezel of Dallas and great grandchildren, Caitlin Giles, Mathew Giles, Averi Giles, Cassie Aston, Wade Aston and Chance Keezel. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A special Thank you to the 2nd floor Memory Caregivers for the Loving Care given. Donna Turner Caregiver was a special friend to Mom and loved her as her own. She will get special jewels in her crown.
