Mrs. Jessie was born November 28, 1936, in Columbus, the daughter of Chester V. and Dorothy M. Bassett Ford.
Wilma was a former bookkeeper with Warehouse Carpet and was a member of New Life Community Church in Nashville, IN.
Survivors include her sons, Stephen (Cheryl) Jessie and Timothy W. Jessie both of Columbus; grandchildren, Luke Jessie and Lia Asher; great-grandchildren, Gaige and Lincoln Asher and a sister, Teressa Ford of Columbus.
She was preceded in dearth by her parents and brothers, Hugh, Dale and Harold Ford.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Roy Hendershot officiating.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 9:00 a.m. to time of service at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest at the Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Community Church.

When I was 19 years old, Wilma gave me a place to stay when I was in a time of need. She didn't know me but opened her arms to me because I was close to her son Tim.
She was a very special lady with a big heart. I will never forget her kindness. Blessed be Wilma.
