Wilma Franceen "Fran" Palmer, 89, a resident of Alvin, Texas passed away at her home surrounded by family on Thursday, November 10, 2022. She was born January 23, 1933 in Centralia, Illinois to the late Marc and Wilma Corridori.
Mrs. Palmer was the mother of 10 children and was fondly called MawMaws by 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. The love she had for her family provided strength and inspiration to all. Family was everything to her and it meant that you were accepted and loved unconditionally. She was truly artistic and creative in designing and decorating. She catered weddings, planning all aspects of the wedding reception from decorations for guest tables to creating and decorating exquisite wedding cakes personalized for each couple. She baked cakes and desserts professionally and as gifts. She designed, sewed and crocheted gifts for many friends. She made personalized flannel blankets for all of her family and loved crocheting and tatting hundreds of intricate personalized Christmas ornaments for all of her family and friends. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas because to her that was a time of giving and family gathering to celebrate together.
Mrs. Palmer is survived by her children, Debbie (Rusty) Tilton, James (Georganne) Palmer, John (Jacqueline) Palmer, Cindy (Jeff) Hill, Cheryl Henderson, Angie Palmer (Chuck Overmyer), Chris (Meghan) Palmer, Sandra (Henry) Arellano, Kelly (Don) Russell, 23 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and her sister Toni Aldrich. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marc and Wilma Corridori, her husband Clifford James Palmer, her son Joey Palmer, her sister Barbara Wasiak and her brother Ramon Corridori.
A Celebration of Life mass will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Cyril of Alexandria Catholic Church, 10503 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77042. At the conclusion of mass, please join the family for a small reception located in Steele Hall at the church.
