Yolande & I became fast friends from the moment we met. As we were both RN's who worked the NYC turf at just about the same time, we shared the heartfelt stories & memories that brought us both genuine laughter & tears! We wondered aloud at how we survived the situations we landed in, as mere teens - working the wards with a dedicated passion, to serve the Lord's presence in our patients & do no harm. Neither of us would have traded the experience & came to a mutual agreement, that had we met in our younger days, we could have saved the world!!! (or died trying!) She was such a wonderful person, who took on the responsibility of her beloved Sid's dialysis so he could remain so home as long as possible. Her compassion, and genuine love for him was so beautiful to behold & the touch of her gentle hand was all that was needed to ease his apprehensions & calm him. She was a silent hero who didn't wear a cape or cap as she ministered to Sid's needs but stood at his bedside, radiating her grace & love. I am happy that they are reunited now but shall miss her always. God bless you, my sweet friend, may your joy be full. Pray for us please & keep us in your beautiful heart. You will never be forgotten. Until we meet again, All my love, Nora

Yolande was a very dear friend. We will miss her witty observations about
life, and the nonsense that that uses up our time before it's gone.
In our last phone conversation, she conveyed that she was ready to join
Sid, the love of her life. You have arrived, dear friend. We shall miss you.

Soon after Sidney introduced Yolande to me, she diagnosed me as suffering from being a "Deficient Hugger". After a lesson or two, I passed her criteria and went on to become a superb hugger.
Thank you, Dear Yolande.
