Bernice Morris Obituary

Bernice Elouise Hackford Morris, age 78, of Roosevelt, passed away Jan. 2, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family.
Bernice was born July 3, 1933 to Melvin LeRoy and Fontella Van Hackford. She married Lavor Leon Morris on Jan. 5, 1951 in Duchesne. He died Sept. 5, 1997.
Bernice had a wonderful sense of humor and a spunky, feisty personality. She kept her home and family in order. She enjoyed doing yard work, helping her husband on the farm and growing beautiful flowers. She was a wonderful cook and always fed everyone who entered her home. In her younger years she found enjoyment in attending dances. She liked to listen to "the Oldies."
Bernice is survived by her children, Marie (John) Sadlier, Fredonia, Ariz.; Leon (Gene) Morris, Vernal; LeRoy (Beth) Morris, Bluebell; Harold (Shannon) Morris, Myton; Vern (Chris) Morris, Caroline (John) Wood, both of Cedarview; Vickie (Guy) Litster, Vernal; Michael Morris (Lynette Dayea) Altonah; 25 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Lewis (Cleo) Hackford, Tabiona; Dave (Shannon) Hackford, St. George; Lynne (LeOra) Hackford, Roosevelt; and June Murdock, Ft. Duchesne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Fontella; husband, Lavor: son, Roger Dale Morris, grandson, Jamie Morris, sisters, Dolores Zufelt, Lucille Lopez, Elda Green, Edith Hackford and brother, Lyle "Bish" Hackford.
Funeral services will be held on Sat., Jan. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service.
Burial in the Altonah Cemetery.
