Carolyn Elaine Turner Lowry, 84, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.
A funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Lomax Skinner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Lowry was born July 22, 1939, in Forsyth County to John Earle Turner and Nora Jane Evans Turner. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Will H. Lowry. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Renee Duck (Randall), and Sherry Huffstetler (Carl); five grandchildren, Cassidy Hancock (Anthony), Zack Huffstetler, Andrew Huffstetler (Lindsay), Reynolds Duck, and Riley Cappelluci (Chase); and four great-grandchildren, Graham Huffstetler, Weston Huffstetler, Alexander Cappelluci, and Isabel Cappelluci. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741

Renee and family, we pray for you as you enter this Christmas season without your mom. She was a special person whom our family met 20+ years ago. We could always count on one thing when we saw your mom and your dad, both would have a smile on their face. We miss your dad and we will certainly miss seeing your mom at family events. The wonderful news that comes from her passing is that she and your dad are together, never again to be apart. We love you and your family sweet friend. May God be with all of you in the next few days and months.
