Michele Baer Obituary

Michele Palmer Baer

1966 - 2025

- Michele Palmer Baer, age 59, lost her battle with nonsmoker lung cancer on July 13, 2025. She courageously accepted her cancer marked by optimism, hope, and faith in Jesus Christ.

Michele was born March 21, 1966, to parents Philip and Caroline Comer Palmer in Monticello, Utah. She graduated from the University of Utah with an accounting degree and became a Certified Public Accountant.

Michele had two children, Kristina and Michael Jr. Michele was a single mother for many years, with sole responsibility of raising her two children. She was an extraordinary mother and a good provider. She always gave Kristina and Michael complete love and care.

Michele married Lonny Baer Dec. 20, 2000. Lonny had four children who Michele helped raise. Lonny passed away Aug. 2, 2013. Michele married a Highland High School classmate, Samuel Sleater, on April 22, 2016. We express gratitude to Sam for his care and goodness to Michele.

Michele has worked for Incite Taxes for the last twelve years. The family wishes to express gratitude to her boss, John Briggs, for his support and kindness to Michele. We also express gratitude to Huntsman Cancer Center for the excellent care given to Michele the past two years.

Michele was a very good, modest person who was always thoughtful and kind to others.

Dear Caroline,
I was so sad to read of your daughter´s passing,I didn´t get the opportunity to met your sweet daughter. As you know my dad Robert Yates is Phillips cousin. I´ve tried to reach out to you when dad passed but was unable to talk to you.
You are the sweetest lady, I send you hugs of comfort and know I´m thinking of you.
Love....Rhea Yates Hyde

My interactions with Michele were minimal while working with her, but every single one was meaningful and friendly. I always looked forward to having conversations with her. She was amazing at her craft and extremely knowledgeable. She will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, Michele.
