I'm so sorry to learn she has passed on. Since my father Ray Allard passed away I have been looking for relatives and I recently found out that I could be my relative. My bloodline and Allard name goes back to North Dakota where my father was registered with the Turtle Mountain Tribe.

Rest In Peace, beautiful Warrior Woman. Thank you for your lessons, your leadership, and for inspiring so many others. Will forever be grateful to have met you and Miles when I asked a friend from Cheyenne River, "What is Sacred Stone Camp?" He said, "It's too hard to explain. Let me take you there." And off we went to Cannonball. I consider that June 2016 the beginning of my education and journey into supporting nothing less than the greatest indigenous-led environmental movement the world has ever seen. You were the light that sparked the movement.

This is my comfort in my affliction, for your own saying has preserved me alive. I have remembered your judicial decisions from time indefinite, OJehovah, and I find comfort for myself. May your loving-kindness serve, please, to comfort me, according to your saying to your servant.

LaDonna was a great teacher and I appreciate all she taught me while we walked around Fort Yates. Her lessons were invaluable, and I have shared them with others. Her work will continue because of all that she taught to so many people. I wish you many blessings on the other side, LaDonna.

I was saddened to hear that my friend has left this realm We first met in our efforts to protect the Killdeer Mountains and the sacred sites from the power line. We were honored to show her and Miles some cultural sites and our home. She welcomed me and my son to her "Prayer Camp". She and Miles showed the way to be fierce Peaceful Warriors. Their work goes on and they are now together on the other side.

My deepest condolences for your loss of this amazing woman and warrior. It is the world's loss. I didn't know her personally, but she inspired a world of activism. The closest I came to meeting her was watching her unload a truck full of donated supplies 15 feet away from me at the main camp, where I was helping out at the GI tent. When I first got there, one of the first things I was told after I asked how do I find out what I can do to help was "If you stay long enough, talk to LaDonna". I only had one day, unfortunately, but I learned a lifetime's worth in that one day. Thank you, LaDonna, for your wisdom, strength and leadership. Rest in love and power.
