You were one of the kindest and wisest men who ever shared his beautiful heart words, not just with me but to the whole world. We met when I was working on your album cover for Earthbeat records in Redway, CA. You have stayed with my heart and soul for life. I wish we could’ve spent more time together for you are one of the best humans to have journeyed on this earth. Thank you for sharing your wonderful soul with us all. I recently traveled to South Dakota in September of 2022 & visited "Crazy Horse." The first thing that I was drawn to doing first was to watch a native American Indian dance. Little did I know he was world renown & as I sat in the room where he sang & danced his hoop dance & played flute in his his heartfelt & teaching all in audience what is truly important ... I was totally enthralled. I bought one of his CD´s & he gave me another one for free. My husband was the reason we got to be there & I am forever grateful yo have seen Kevin on that special day

I wish I could recall the first time I met Kevin. I believe it was the early to mid '80s at the Ft. Sisseton Historical Festival. I would look forward to seeing him there every year. I loved his stories and the way he could mesmerize you with the hypnotic sounds of his flute. My last encounter was only a few years ago. He still had that infectious spirit and ability to make you feel like an old friend, even if (I'm sure!) he didn't recall. He was a tremendous personality, fantastic conversationalist, and great ambassador. His spirit will live on through the many he touched.

Tears of love for this man are flowing from my eyes. Reading of him, in the NYT Obituaries and watching his videos leaves me with no doubt that he was one of the greatest spirits on this earth. I send my condolences to his family and friends with reverence and love. May his spirit be even more free now that he has completed this lifetime, and left his physical form behind. They say those who are at one with God stream joy. The joy he streamed in his many ways will live on in the hearts of all those he taught, entertained and uplifted. He was a teacher of peace and love. I pray for all of you who were close to him in your time of loss. I feel it too. I wish he'd lived a hundred years, while grateful for the time he was here. Thank You.
