The loss of a loved one can turn your world upside down in an instant and leave you feeling isolated from the world at large, but you are not alone. In Legacy.com’s grief support groups, you’ll find help from others who have stood where you are standing right now. Our private Facebook groups offer a safe space to share your bereavement and connect with others experiencing the same kind of loss you are.
Each loss is unique, yet grief is universal. Whether your loss was today or years ago, we believe the power of community helps. If you’ve experienced the loss of a loved one, whether you want to post often or not at all, our groups are here for you.
Post a photo, tell your story, share your grief process, or just read what others have to say. The postings in our private groups do not post on your personal Facebook wall or in your friends’ feeds. Your fellow group members are the only people who will be able to read them. What’s shared here, stays here. Legacy staff are available to the group to ensure conversations remain respectful and supportive.
Our group members intimately understand that everyone experiences grieving stages in their own way and in their own time.
“You don’t have to talk, just listen to the stories of others. You may see some of yourself in them. There is no time limit on mourning. You do it at your pace.”
“I had wished for a site like this for so many years. I so badly wanted to talk about my pain and confusion. Now nineteen years later, I hope I can help someone else feel better. Thanks for adding me to the group.”
“You know, until I found this group, I did not think there was anyone going through what I’m going through. I thought I was the only one. After you all accepted me in this group, I can honestly say I’m glad I’m not the only one. All of you help me, and we all help each other to carry on. It’s nice to know anyone can express their feelings here.”
