I'll always remember Joe from Sunday morning "boot hockey" in the parks around Roseville. Joe and Scott D. are probably enjoying a conversation right now.

Joe,

I was just one of many who’s life was touched by the Brinkman family. The lessons learned while growing up as one of the neighbors has carried me through out my life. Joe was like a big brother, stressed in me the importance of a job well done! I remember how good I felt when he let me help polish his red ford convertible. Not sure, but it may have been a 1961? He showed me the importance of belonging to something. In High School he was an upper class man, When I learned team mates gave him a nick name, that was special. It’s been many years, but the name remains Joe Brinkman (The Bone Man). Still, it makes me smile when I think of it.

My condolences to his loved ones, sorry to see him go.

My deepest sympathy to Kim, Cindi, Kay, Tom, Mary, Patty, and Ted and their families on the loss of Joe. We started as neighborhood friends in Roseville, grew up together, and became like family. Those years bring back fond memories of Joe and his loving, kind, and fun presence.

Love,

Joe - I could barely believe your obituary notice. I remember you as a guy so full of life and always in a swirl of activities, events and just plain fun.

The times I spent with you in Florida are an especially fun memory - you shared your residence with me and my girls, Katie and Shari. You were a terrific person to talk to, always caring, extremely generous with those of us fortunate enough to be considered your friends.

Condolences to Kim and Cindy.

Joe, I miss you. Our friendship has always been so valuable to me. I can't believe you're gone...I guess the last memory I'll have is golfing at BayView and repairing the roof on your house after the bad storm season you had last year. I also want to thankyou for watching over Debb as she has taken on a new life in Florida...I know she appreciated your freindship as well. Rest in peace my dear friend and may your smile continue to adorn our lives......I miss you!

Growing up in Roseville with the Brinkmans sure was special. We had many adventures and fond memories. I think most of Joe's love for life and spirit. He was enthusiastic, generous and fun loving. While I have not seen Joe in many years I'll remember his spirit and love for adventure most.
