James C. "J.C." Lillpop

Lynnville - James C. "J.C." Lillpop, 91, passed away on January 11, 2020 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.

J.C. was born and raised in Cannelton, IN and graduated from Cannelton High School in 1946. He was a player on the sectional championship team in 1946. J.C. taught high school and coached several sports for many schools including Richland, Owensville, Francisco, Fayetteville, and Shawswick High Schools. He moved to Lynnville in 1971 to become athletic director and baseball coach at Tecumseh High School. He retired from Tecumseh in 1988.

James is preceded in death by his wife Martha Jean Lillpop, his grandson, Eric Pemberton; sisters, Mary Augusta Lillpop and Grace Hafele; brother, Carl Lillpop.

He is survived by his daughters, Debbie (David) Pemberton of Haubstadt and Karen (Alan) Phipps of Bedford; sons, Tim Lillpop and Todd (Angie) Lillpop both of Lynnville; grandchildren, Kelli (Tim) Williams, Jill (Mike) Brooks, Adam (Jill) Phipps, Ryan Pemberton, Audra (Marcus) Patrick, Amanda Phipps, Taylor Pemberton, and Levi Lillpop, and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 15 at PEMBERTON-BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, 301 N. Main Street Lynnville, IN. Visitation Tuesday from 3 to 7p.m. & 1 hr. before service time.
