Larry Polk Obituary

Larry Frederick Polk, 88, of Noblesville, Ind., passed away March 16, 2026. Born February 19, 1938, in Cannelton, Ind., to Frederick and Mable Jane (Adams) Polk, Larry graduated from Cannelton High School in 1956. He served as Principal at Perry Central High School from 1966-1969. A longtime Indiana educator, U.S. Marine Corps reservist, and active community member, Larry devoted his life to faith, family, and service. Larry is survived by his wife, Sharon; two children, Ryan (Angela) Polk and Kerra Newton; four grandchildren, Patrick Polk, Mitchell (Gretchen) Polk, Evan Cox, and Garrison Cox; and one great-granddaughter, Ensley Polk.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service, on March 21 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 16000 Cumberland Rd, Noblesville.

Those wishing to honor Larry may donate to the Dementia Society of America (dementiasociety.org), Grain of Rice Project (grainofrice.org), or Emmanuel United Methodist Church (emmanuelumc.org).
