James Ortz Obituary

James Walter Ortz, 71, of Templeton, died Thursday, April 9, 2021 at Brookville Hospital shortly after sustaining injuries in an automobile accident.

Born April 28, 1949 at the White Settlement near New Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Merle and Shirley Kunselman Ortz.

He worked at Astro Manufacturing until his retirement.

Jim was a member of the Eagles and VFW clubs, both in New Bethlehem.

Survivors include two sons, Chad Ortz and his wife, Cortney, of New Bethlehem, and Ryan Ortz and his wife, Tricia, of Fairmount City; four grandchildren, Aiden, Avery, Landon and Everly; two sisters, Carol Hannold of Fairmount City, and Susan Lloyd and Tom Chandler of New Bethlehem; and one brother, Larry Ortz and his wife, Amy, of Fairmount City.

Jim is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Ortz.

There will be no calling hours or services at this time.
