It is with great sadness that I read of David's passing. I am a New Zealander who was serving in Vietnam when I met Dave at the recuperation centre in Cam Ranh Bay where we were both recuperating from the war. We have had sporadic communication over the years. Now another friend from my service is no longer with us, too many too soon. Rest in Peace good friend, it was a privilege to have known you.

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old, age shall not weary them nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.

I salute his proud and honorable service to our country and acknowledge with deference the way he went about making a life for himself and his family after the military. Dear Carol, Ashley, Michael,
What very sad news. Dave was one of "our gang", one who has left all of us with wonderful shared memories of our youth and alleged adulthood. His was a warm and charming personality. Always .
He has achieved yet another " honorable discharge " I am sure from all of us.
Our hearts are broken for him and for you and we wish you strength and courage in the difficult days ahead.
Thanks for sharing him with us!
Much Love,
Jim and Paula Halloran
